Recently a job post by Disney on LinkedIn took the crypto community by speculative theories and assumptions. The entertainment company is looking for a corporate attorney who portrays expertise and interest in NFTs, crypto, blockchain and DeFi.
Does that mean the firm is preparing to dip its toes into the emerging space soon? Well, the job post indicates a plan to launch any new project in web3 soon. A hurray moment for Disney fans!
On delving deeper into the job requirements, we find the attorney is expected to offer support and advice for the NFT products, which will be made by partnering with Disney products, entertainment, parks and Disney media. In addition, the enthusiast would offer adequate counselling and advice to the firm’s business team on cryptocurrency issues.
This isn’t the first time that the entertainment kings have dived into the ever-growing and emerging world of metaverse and NFTs. Earlier, Bob Chapek, Disney’s CEO, made an intriguing remark, “metaverse is the next great storytelling frontier”.
In 2021, Disney utilized storytelling as a powerful tool in enhancing consumer experiences; they gained massive success from the project. It won’t be wrong to say that past success boosted their morale to take up new web3 initiatives.

Following a swift entry into tokenized assets frontier, the firm now intends to expand its reach from NFTs to crypto and metaverse.
Another crucial aspect, or the principle of the job post that catches our attention, is corporate responsibility. Before indulging in DeFi, blockchain or crypto, Disney made sure they align services to legal frameworks, which is pretty applaudable.

Right now, we can speculate on the projects they wish to take over; however, we have to wait for the next update to get better insight into their plans.
