Bored And Hungry Restaurant Stopped Accepting Crypto! Fake news Or Truth?

Recently news report broiled skepticism among crypto users. A leading daily revealed that the famous NFT-themed restaurant Bored & Hungry decided to stop accepting payments in cryptocurrencies. It further claimed that the signboards in the restaurant which carry the message about receiving payment in crypto are removed. The news sparked speculation and confusion among crypto users who have been dining at the restaurant for a longer time and paying in crypto.

Before delving deeper into the news let’s offer a brief introduction to this NFT-themed restaurant….

A brief overview of Bored & Hungry restaurant

The Bored & Hungry restaurant opened in April 2022 in California. This 1700 square feet food center is based on the famous Bored Yacht NFT theme. The main objective behind this restaurant is to educate people about Web3 evolutions like NFT and how one can use NFT to create a brand.

According to Andy Nguyen, the team is determined to contribute to the bright future of Web3. The founder bought Bored Ape and two mutant apes for $267,000. The restaurant’s interior is wonderfully decorated with the BAYC collection, mainly attracting customers.

In fact, at weekends, famous singers and bands perform, which turns out to be another attraction for the customers.

Fake or fact?

If we go as per reports by the LA Times, an employee from the restaurant confirmed that they are no longer accepting cryptocurrencies. However, the individual didn’t reveal when it would introduce the policy change.

As soon as the news of the NFT-themed food chain not accepting crypto made headlines, the value prospect and brand image of the restaurant were severely hit. However, when asked about it by the food chain’s owner, Andy Nguyen, denied such reports and called it a hoax. He mentioned that the restaurant will always accept crypto.

Bored & Hungry’s owner took to his Twitter to state that during the ApeFest last week, people bought burgers with crypto; he even posted a video of the fest.

Well, after the founder’s statement, crypto users take a sigh of relief.

We suggest you not believe such rumors and continue enjoying your meals with crypto at Bored & Hungry restaurant.
